Cristina attended Queensland’s university of technology in 2003 where she undertook a Bachelor Of Fine Arts specialising in Intermedia Arts. After completing her degree at QUT Cristina moved to Melbourne and studied her Honours in Sound at RMIT. Since then her practice has evolved to making short animated films where the sound features as much as the image. She sees film as a way of communicating ideas with moving images and sound and also enjoys the endless creative possibilities of animation. Imagination and free thought is of great importance to her and she hopes to encourage it amongst her viewers. In 2008 one of her films ‘Come Together’ was selected for the Melbourne International Film Festival and in 2009 she was selected to present her film ‘Gravity Rebels’ at the Yebisu Festival for Arts And Alternative Visions in Japan. She is currently living in Melbourne and working on a new film which will be released by eXO Records on DVD soon. Shows: |
